Martha was preoccupied with many things but Mary had chosen to focus on the most important thing: Jesus. Martha wanted Jesus to get on her timetable and agenda, but Jesus used this moment to bring transformation in Martha.

The 2 Most Important Questions - Luke 9

The two most important questions that everyone must answer are "who is Jesus?" and "what are you going to do about it?"

When we answer those question correctly, everything changes. In fact, because a small group of people got those 2 questions right the world was changed. The movement of disciples that Jesus started showed incredible resiliency in the face of war, persecution, plague, and martyrdom because they got those questions right.

They were not only resilient, they regenerated and reproduced whenever it got hard.

What's real will be revealed. // Luke 8

In Luke 8 we find that true discipleship always reveals itself. Like seeds that actually put down roots are revealed by the fruit they produce, the life of believers who accept and follow the teaching of Jesus show fruit.

Jesus isn't who you think He is. // Luke 7

Jesus is who He is, not who you think He is. So when your expectations of Jesus don't meet up with reality, it's your expectations or perspective of Jesus that needs to change. It's actually a good thing when we are disappointed with how God is working, because it gives us an opportunity to realign with the truth.

What is a disciple? // Luke 6

Have you ever realized you've been singing the wrong lyrics or calling someone the wrong name and you wonder, how long have I been wrong on this? Today we are going to make sure we aren't wrong in what we think when we hear the word "disciple."

The infectious presence of Jesus - Luke 5

Though we didn't deserve Him, Jesus came among us and His presence started the spread of divine holiness among humble and lowly people like us. Those who experienced this holiness were those who welcomed His presence and even sought Him out. We too should seek out the presence of Jesus in our lives if we want His holiness to cover us and make us whole.

How to face temptation.

In Luke 4 we see another demonstration that Jesus is uniquely qualified for His calling as the Son of God who has come be among us as a man. We also see that this demonstration serves as a great example to us on how we can face temptation.

Preprare the way by preparing your heart.

In Luke 3 we see that John was sent to prepare the way for Jesus. He accomplished this through the preparation of hearts with repentance. Today we are praying for God to send revival and we prepare for this through repentance.
