Bob Johan's life experienced a major transformation, but it didn't come on suddenly. It was a process of being drawn to Christ over many years, but then suddenly his fear and guilt were gone.
Lent is a season or a period of time when we give ourselves to repentance, to turning from self and sin and shame to follow Christ. It's a time of giving in to the call and leading of Jesus.
